A 2010 Road Trip? Yeah!While you look ahead to summer vacation, set aside July 31st - August 4th for summer family camp at La Foret Conference and Retreat Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The drive takes about 16 hours so you may opt to fly or caravan to drive. Check-in is on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and check-out is by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. We hope to have a special activity planned for that afternoon along with a group dinner and lodging for that evening. A group activity will also be planned for Thursday for those who wish to participate.
Cabins consist of four rooms with two sets of bunks in each room. We will place one family in each room. The cost per cabin is $475/night which will be split between the four families bringing the cost for the four evenings to $475/family.
The meal costs are as follows: Adult Children (age 4-11) Breakfast $ 7.35 $5.80 (Breakfast is optional) Lunch $10.75 $8.10 Dinner $12.75 $9.30
This is an approximate cost for a family of four: $475 lodging for 4 nights $252 4 dinners and 2 lunches for 2 adults and 2 children $727 plus $105 4 breakfasts for 2 adults and 2 children (optional) $ 60 Linens for 4, bedding and bath towels (optional) Total $892
Extra costs will be the dinner and hotel on Wednesday night plus any extra activities on or off-site.
On-site amenities include swimming pool, hiking and biking trails, disc golf course, labyrinth, basketball courts, open fields and high ropes course. Off-site adventures can include rafting, horseback riding, Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods.
A nonrefundable deposit of $100 per family is due by May 1st in order to reserve a spot.
