I’m Jennifer Lewis, the head of staff pastor at PCWS. The “head of staff” part of that title means that one of my tasks is overseeing the remarkable group of people who make up this congregation’s staff. Since 2003, when I was called and elected to serve here, you’ll find me preaching and leading worship on a majority of Sundays, offering pastoral care, and teaching in a number of different areas in the life of the church. Working together with the staff, elders and deacons, I provide leadership in seeking God’s direction for our future.
I’ve served in a variety of settings in Illinois, North Carolina and New Jersey since my ordination in 1983: small and large churches; urban, suburban and rural congregations; a college campus and as an administrator of a not-for-profit. Ministry is a thrilling and humbling calling. I love the work to which God has called me.
I’m a New York State native and graduate of Boston College, where I majored in philosophy. In 1983 my husband, Dan and I both graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity degrees. We’re blessed to be the parents of Claire and Duncan. I enjoy reading books, cooking for a crowd, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family.
